An infinite amount of water surrounds you while you travel through the scenic lush landscape, past magnificent trees and enjoy prolific animal and birdlife as you cross wooden bridges from one island to the next.

From the south, you enter Moremi Game Reserve at South Gate, past Black Pools and Xini Lagoon. Travel over 1st and 2nd Bridge to Third Bridge Campsite. The main road then crosses 3rd and 4th Bridge to Xakanaxa Campsite before traveling to Khwai Campsite and leaves Moremi Game Reserve at North Gate. All secondary dirt roads are well worth travelling on; make sure you have all the right gear to get yourself out of the mud in remote areas! All the campsites in Moremi have ablution blocks with showers and toilets.

From North Gate, head towards the Khwai Community Campsites – Mogotho, Sable Alley and Matswere. There are no toilets or showers and you have to be fully self-provisioned. This area in Moremi is one that I love for the most incredible drives along the Khwai River. From here you would go through Mababe Gate into the Chobe National Park.
